Dar es Salaam, 25 June 2025 – Tanzania International Bee Co. Ltd is proud to announce a major milestone in its journey to transform the beekeeping sector in Tanzania. Following its successful participation at the Saudi Food Show 2025, the company has officially closed a strategic investment deal with a Chinese partner to install advanced machinery for producing high-value health and wellness products derived from bee resources, under the apitherapy initiative.

This breakthrough was made possible after fruitful discussions at the Saudi Food Show, where Tanzania International Bee met with several international stakeholders, including a delegation from the Republic of China. Among the most engaged was Dr. Vicky Wang (PhD), a renowned expert in apitherapy, who showed a strong interest in Tanzania's potential to supply natural, medicinal bee products.

Today, on 25th June 2025, Dr. Vicky Wang visited Tanzania International Bee’s office in Dar es Salaam for a critical strategy meeting. Both parties have now formally agreed to begin importing and installing modern apitherapy equipment in Tanzania. These machines will be used to process and manufacture a range of natural health products, including:

  1. Therapeutic treatments from Natural honey and bee venom
  2. Royal jelly capsules and tonics
  3. Medicinal creams and ointments from beeswax
  4. Enhanced, health-grade honey-based products

This investment will significantly add value to Tanzania’s raw bee products, boost incomes for thousands of local beekeepers, and elevate Tanzania's profile in the global health and natural products market.

Importantly, this collaboration will also focus on introducing and distributing Tanzania’s premium honey brand JAMBO ASALI to the vast Chinese market. With rising demand for pure, natural, and therapeutic honey in China, this partnership opens new and exciting export opportunities for Jambo Asali, positioning it as a high-quality African honey brand on international shelves.

In addition, the partnership will support Apitourism development, with Dr. Wang and her team planning field visits to key beekeeping zones across Tanzania. This initiative will not only promote investment in rural areas but also showcase Tanzania as a destination for eco-based and health-centered tourism.

Tanzania International Bee extends its heartfelt appreciation to the MNRT, International Trade Centre (ITC) and ENABEL  through BEVAC entiure team, whose continuous support and facilitation of global exposure enabled this major development.

This achievement marks a new era in Tanzanian beekeeping – one that integrates health, innovation, tourism, and global trade for the benefit of communities and the broader economy.
